Photography Sessions I’ve been a photographer for as long as I can remember. I got my first camera when I was about 8; it was pink and black and used 110 mm film. I thought I was the cat’s pajamas. I documented everything from weddings to family gatherings, and I have twenty years of memories to look back on. Although I’ve moved on to a DSLR, my love for photography remains the same and I still have the same philosophy that taking pictures is about capturing memories and documenting moments in time. As a photographer, my goal is to offer my guests that same experience. I want to be there to capture your one-of-a-kind moments. Having a background in photojournalism has given me the experience to capture events and people as they are, candidly and in their environment. I want each experience to be unique and special, not something that can be imitated by posing on the same blanket each year at Christmastime followed by choosing package A, B, or C. "Play Dress-Up": This photo session is one of the newest ideas from Becky McClellan Photography. These sessions allow you to choose a time period or style you'd like to see yourself modeling and basically play dress-up! From a sexy 1950s pin-up to a sassy 1920s flapper shoot, I can help you add some excitement and a new twist to engagement photos, portfolio shots, or your yearly family photo. Or you can just do one for fun! You're welcome to dress in your own clothes, but I can also offer you a stylist who can not only find you the perfect outfit for your era, but can also find the perfect backdrop to make your look come to life! Photojournalism-Style Weddings: Since weddings are so special and so unique, taking the same type of photograph for each one seems to take away from your own personal experience. Having a background in photojournalism, I like to shoot weddings as a documentary instead of just photographing a series of poses. This way, the photographs tell a story — your story! Photos on Location: The best portraits are often taken when people are doing what they love in a familiar place. Why not have me come to your house during the holiday season to get pictures of your family in your own home? It’s something very personal and special and would translate into beautiful holiday gifts or cards. Parks, spots in the city, and playgrounds are great ideas for location shoots. Mommy-to-Be Portraits: Being pregnant is such an important moment in a woman’s life. Capture that memory in individual portraits or with your family. If you have other children, it’s also fun for them to participate in the shoot with their soon-to-be brother or sister! Large and Small Event Shoots: When people think event photography, they usually think of weddings. Although I do shoot weddings, I have also shot numerous events on a much smaller scale. If your company or association is having a fundraiser, party, or employee event or your business needs new photos for your website, I would be happy to assist you with these needs as well. Pet Portraits: Pets are members of the family, too! Bring Fido in for his own special day of photo magic and have a memory that will make you giggle! The photo session itself is maybe more fun than the actual results! Entertainment: Need movie stills or album/promotional photos? I can come to your set so you can document and promote your production, or if you’re a musician we can set up a custom shoot on location to meet your needs.
